This longing is perhaps misplaced because instead of looking for spirtual guidance, people look towards magic to find surcease from their daily woes and struggles.The Harry Potter charms are intended to hold young and old in thrall, not open a floodgate to Hogswarth for muggles. If a child, always irrepressible, explores the world of magic and witchcraft without parental consent, that would be a disaster. Perhaps I will receive a torrent of violent reaction - but think about it, this could happen.

The practice of witchcraft begins with simple spells, not that Harry Potter spells are for real - but it insinuates a sinister direction - black magic. Dumbledore may represent white magic but still there are also undertones of power and use of black magic. Severus Snape is ambiguous and Lord Valdemort beats them all in wickedness.
